I just paid local tire store $95 and he also installed a new brake controller(I had controller) and put a terminal connector on electric tongue jack for me. I think I got a good deal.

Problem I have with bearing buddies is that (unless the seal is leaking), the fresh grease never gets to the inner bearing (which is the one closest to the seal), like it does on the EZLube or AG Hub systems.

The grease usually is good for +- 500,000 miles, so unles you tow your trailer for more, than that there is no need for replacing the grease.

Camping World wants $229.00 for a double axel and $329.00 for a triple. They do have a sale going on for $39.00 an axel don't know when it ends though.

those bearing buddies belong on the bottom of the lake...

it should be illegal to have them on anything with internal expanding brakes... they have been the cause of more blown seals and ruined brakes than anything ever invented...

grease might last 500,000 miles if you did drive it that much, but could be bad in 500 when left sitting most of the time...

if that is your choice for greasing your bearings fine, they are your bearings and brakes, but I would tell any one out there your recommendation is worth less than they paid for it...

the cost of greasing them is much lower than the cost of blowing one and maybe very much less...

you brakes need to be checked anyway grease the bearings and replace the seals any time you pull the hubs...

the hubs should be pulled at least every two years to check brake shoes, drums and magnets for wear... trust me you won't do it to often, so don't even worry about that...

the EZ lube axles are nice, I like them, they are a aid for the bearings, the hubs will not run hot from to much grease with them, but they do not eliminate the need to pull the hubs...

If the grease lasts for 500K miles, why does one need to give it three pumps or so every year or so? In fact, why do we hear about any bearings failing at all? At 500K miles, they should be outlasting the trailer...

I've had grease get water-contaminated after about 5K miles.
