We're looking for a place to overnight on the way home from Walt Disney World to Chicago. I'm looking for something 7 to 10 hours out of Orlando. Any suggestions of campgrounds convenient to the highway? We're stopping at Twin Oaks in Elko, GA on the way down, but we want to get further north before stopping on the way back.

High Falls State Park near Jackson GA. Getting ready to head there for this weekend (about 20 miles from us) Good nearby place to eat is Buckners right off the interstate behind Flying J.

Don't know about 10 hours north of Orlando (would take me 3 days to make No. Ga) but Adairsville, GA, I-75, Harvest Moon is nice. Good pull-through, ez on/off.

We have stayed at Atlanta South but it can be good or bad as some sites are tight and lot of long term sites. We generally stay at Twin Oaks then go to Berea, KY to Walnut Meadows or Corbin,KY to the KOA which would be too far for you.

Harvest Moon would be right at 500 miles. It is a nice place since they added all the new section.

Harvest Moon RV Park is about 500 miles from Orlando and depending the time it takes to get through or around Atlanta, it meets your 10 hour goal.

There is a very nice COE campground on Lake Allatoona near Cartersville, GA. It's called McKinney campground. The sites are paved, large and easy to get into. The bathhouses are clean and plentiful. It's a couple of miles off I-75, but it only takes ten minutes or so to get there.
