Send thanks from Middle Tennessee - for his service, and for being a true "Volunteer".

I think that we need to thank you and David as well; good kids aren't an accident. You guys should be proud of the effort you put into his raising.

Ditto on Uchee Creek being a fine place to camp. One of my favorite Military Family Camps. Being retired military it's still one of the few benefits they haven't taken away from us.

My step son graduated from Fort Benning basic and Airborne school last year. Now stationed in Fort Carson (which does not have a Family Camp) with the 4th Infantry Division. Scheduled to deploy to Iraq this summer.

Congrats to your Son. Tell him we thank him for his service, and we'll keep him and ALL military members in our prayers.

Have a great trip to Fort Benning.

Great news! We are originally from Columbus, GA, right beside Ft. Benning. Where will you be staying?

We will be staying at a hotel this time. I made reservations for the Marriott. Looks like a nice place, and gets good reviews. Since we are taking Grandmas, thought it would be easier than taking the 5'er. Thanks to everyone for all your good wishes and thoughts. I will be a basket case when he graduates, and gets deployed somewhere. So, I'm sure I will be asking for support again.

Thanks, Refloyd, we get to see him at family day next week, and I will tell him, thanks, from all of you. I did get to talk to him Saturday for the first time in 2 months. I am so amazed at how much more mature he sounded. He is still loving the military, and I can tell it has been good for him. Again, thank you for serving our country, and allowing us to enjoy our simple freedoms.

My son's mid-cycle pass has been confirmed. It is scheduled for March 29, but first he had to pass his PT test. Got a letter today. All it said in huge letters is: SEE YOU SATURDAY! 55 PUSH-UPS, 73 SIT-UPS, 15:12-2 MILE. He had drawn a huge smiley face at the bottom. Now, I am really excited. I was so afraid he would fail his PT test, and have his pass canceled. Will be able to pick him up Saturday morning for 36 hours.

Well, the weekend is over. I was able to watch Seth eat and sleep . Man, did he eat, I think he had 1 of everything he couldn't have for the last 8 weeks. He has gained 20 pounds of muscle, and looks great. I hated to leave him, but he is very proud of what he has accomplished. So, I am very proud of him. I felt so much better after seeing him.
