Congrats on your first outing. We had the same problem with finding a window open upon returning in are rear slide. We made a habbit to walk around the camper each stop we made to find anything else we missed. As far as missing the tent we also came to a quick conclusion we did not miss tent camping either. Have a Safe Summer

We just finished up our first outting with new 2809 Frontier. Great trip, Labor day weekend, we used the free trial Thousand Trails. Great place, just overpriced for us. The only real problem was when at the dump after the weekend, we were on the dump to the left, and i was using the new Red hose connected to a flush king, which worked great, and the trailer next to us was dumping at the same time. My wife came over as they pulled away, and asked if they were supposed to use a hose? The just dumped on the ground and washed (a little) of it away. I cannot believe some people.

Otherwise, great outting with wife and 3 boys in their new bunkhouse.

Well let's hope our first outing goes as well. We are picking up our new Jay Feather 29N TT 8/23 (First TT ever). First trip will be Friday (after middle daughter gets married this 8/21). Just me, hubby and the dog now, everyone else is on their own (4 kids total). We have 400 acres we own so figured we would dry camp in our own backyard so to speak. That way we will not subject unspecting, seasoned campers to our mistakes and besides we will only be embarrassed in front of ourselves. The next trip will be to the Natchez State Park to try the hook ups. Keep your fingers crossed and hope we survive and don't seriously hurt each other.

We do have a friend that is a Deputy Sheriff in our county and I have asked him to check on us periodically.

My wife and I have been camping since we were kids (obviously before we were married). We have always owned and camped in tents on canoe, horse riding trips, etc. We have also owned two different pop-ups for about 17 years. Recently traded for a TT and love it. Our tastes or needs have simply evolved over the years, although my son and I are going on a canoeing trip in two weeks and will sleep in tents.

We started our kids camping when they were around 4-5 weeks old and they still camp with us every time. Our son is now 17 and our daughter is 14. We have a million great memories of camping/traveling and are making more each time we go. Look forward to someday camping with the grand kids!

Great to hear! We survived our maiden voyage as well -this past weekend. We bought a 2001 Wilderness Yukon 829S travel trailer. We have three boys and a very large German Shepard. We didn't go too far, only about an hour and a half away from home to break in the dog and the kids. We had a great time, and surpisingly, the setup and take down went a lot faster than I imagined. We are planning a 4-day trip at the end of this month to take advantage of the long weekend.
