To all the Entrepreneurs out there...

Share your success stores with me on how you re-invented yourself and created a income stream to help keep the expenses down.

With the cost of being on the road sky rocketing, I would like to see what has been successful for those of you that still wishes to work!

Thank you.

Ken

We keep our expenses down by doing volunteer work in return for our RV site with parks, historic sites and other non-profit organizations. In return we get a site with all utilities, usually access to laundry equipment and frequently other amenities. And we choose locations based upon doing things that we either enjoy doing, that we get to learn new things or that we learn new things, or some combination of the three. And with that there is no tax liability and we have had some really wonderful places to live and not in some cramped RV park with RVs stacked nearly on top of each other.

Check out our lifestyle by visiting the website in my signature.

I was able to get an online job, and I can work anywhere there is internet. A long time coming (this position doesn't come available often); I'm doing it part time while working a full time night job; the intent is to do it full time in the future.

I'm an independent contractor for the largest sign company in your state and sell indoor and outdoor electric signs to businesses from Fl. to NY. Everything from interior lighted and LED window signs to full color outdoor digital displays. I always get a little overage to cover fuel and campground expenses if you know what I mean.

I was a Silicon Valley computer geek, sold everything and hit the road. I still work full time(ish) doing what I did while "telecommuting" in a severly overpriced tract home in San Jose. Life on the road couldn't be better - expenses are much lower, I have good work focus, and we get to be where we want to be!

I recently started a website that has other folks that are doing the same thing - breaking the bonds of Suburbia and finding ways to make a living on the road - NuRVers.com

Thank you for all your success stories, I will read each one and respond back to everyone.

I find that when you look beyond where you live, the opportunities present them selves in a way that were not there the first time I looked!

Being flexible and listen to those that know and have the experience will save me a great deal of wasted time.

I look forward to talking with each and everyone of you RV'ers.

Many thanks...Ken

I semi-retired but my wife works from our RV. She worked from home before we started fulltiming and her company had no problem letting her continue. She loves her job and everything worked out for both parties. She does Account Receivables and as long as we have Internet access things are good.

I have an eBay business. I find a flea market or auction, buy antiques and sell them on eBay for a profit. All I need is my laptop, PayPal and the nearest post office. Obviously I specialize in "smalls" LOL.
