Attention all folks in the Dakotas', Mickeysowner and I have a date of May 23-May 25 set up for our first ever RV.Net Dakota Rally. It will be at Roughrider Campground. a few miles west of Minot. If you would like to attend, reply here or Private Message myself or Mickeysowner. We have reserved 10 sites to start out with and if we get more, all the better. I need to get yeys and neys as soon as possible. This should be a lot of fun!!! With the help of Bearnkat in Fortworth, Texas (who gave us some great ideas) this should be a fantistic event to get us geared up for a great summer!!!!

Rally Schedule:

6:00 - 10:00 - Friday Evening Ice-Breaker/Get-Together - Games, snacks, etc.

9:00 - Saturday Morning Potluck Breakfast

Saturday Mid-morning/Afternoon - Restin', relaxin' and games (Ladder Golf, etc)

6:00 Saturday Evening potluck dinner followed by a bonfire and social!

Sunday, pack up and get ready to head for home.

Here is a description of the Roughrider Campground..........

Roughrider Campground west of Minot, North Dakota, offers unrivaled location, atmosphere, attitude and amenities for a family vacation. Located in the North Central region of the state, our camp is 116 miles north of Bismarck, just off Highway 83. We have camping sites to suit your style and can accommodate even the largest of rigs, so make your reservation online and get ready for a great North Dakota vacation.

Our campground is set up to give you a wide choice of ways to spend your time off-road, whether you crave rest, activity or sociability. Some guests like the charm of old-fashioned horseshoes while others like to gather up teams for exciting baseball or volleyball games. Picnic tables and fire rings around the campground suggest picnics, campfires, marshmallow roasting and the telling of tall tales.

The beautiful city of Minot offers all kinds of things to do and see from its waterslide to miniature golf courses, dining, hiking and shopping. At one of our wildlife refuges, you can see North Dakota's most sought-after bird species and the Point of View Winery, Dakota Territory Air Museum and Roosevelt Park Zoo nearby are places to be sure to visit. Returning to your site at Roughrider Campground at the end of the day will put you again into a peaceful green grass and shady setting.

Oh yes, I cannot forget to mention co-host Mickeysowner (LaMar) and his bride from Mandan as an attendee as well. No prize for you signing up early as your a host.

This should be an awesome event for our North Dakota RV.Net members. There are more here on the site than I thought.

Let's keep on signing up!

Hey Rick,

It definitely looks like you picked out a nice campground for your 1st ever North Dakota rally! I sure wish Terry and I had the time to head up your way and attend. Maybe sometime in the future we'll be able to visit the North Dakota area.

We wish you the best of luck and to all your RV.net RVers in the North Dakota area, sign up and for Rick's rally and meet your fellow forum members! You'll have a great time!
