it does sound like your dealership is trying to wash their hands of your trailer. I am not saying mine was the best in the world, but they had called keystone about my issue before i even thought about it. That was when keystone actually offered what i did, i felt like you at the time and wanted nothing to do with their products. What was worse is that we had traded in a jayco hybrid that had been trouble free for 3 years. However once my wife took a walk around the lot and said i want that one...well there was no turning back.
I would give them a chance to fix it, if after a few weeks it isnt fixed then i would start asking them for a new one.

First thing calm down, if you chew their heads off they are going to do the minimum that they HAVE to do. If you make it clear you will never purchase from them again what incentive do they have to make you happy? Be calm, let them know that you understand RV's have issues and if they make it right you will be back the next time you need service or a new camper...

Hell trailblazerpassport,
Yes, been there done that, even spent an hour with a lawyer.
No RV Lemon law in PA, just hope the dealer or manufacturer work with you.
Our dealer did end up trying to give us current trade value towards a newer unit or send it back AGAIN to fix it AGAIN. They finally did "fix it" ??, and we ended up selling it out right a year later, lost our butts, but I didnt trust it anymore.

I am going to ask that everyone please stop telling me not to bite their head off! I DID NOT bit their head off. I clarified what I said in another one of my posts more recently on this thread. I have been nothing but nice to the manufacturer. The dealer is my problem. We are going to give the manufacturer a chance to fix the camper. If they are successful we will be happy but we may still look to trade it in next year. If they are unsuccessful they have already told me we would look at trading for a newer model.
I know that every manufacturer has a camper here and there that has issues. I was unfortunate to get this one this time. We will get through this, it is not the end of the world. As long as the manufacturer continues to stand by their product and be nice about it, I am happy! They are trying to do everything they can to get this back out to us in a two week time frame.
So here is hoping that we luck out and it's quicker!
Thanks to everyone for their advice!

Trailblazerpassport:
I realize you clarified your response later in your thread. keep in mind some people don't read the responses - they read your first post, hit reply to post and respond without reading everything else so they possibly did not see your explanation of what was said, how it was said etc. Don't take it personally.
I do hope that your issue gets resolved. It's no fun having to have something cancelled that you've looked forward to. I hope you get your trailer back fixed and you can put it all behind you.

Thought I would post here as well, it has been two months and here we go again! The camper was returned from the manufacturer claiming it was "fixed", well sad to say but it is leaking again! So I am awaiting a response from customer service regarding the pictures I sent them this morning! Thought I would bring everyone up to date~

Where is your leak in the slide? We just purchased an 08 Passort 280Bh and love everything about it! A couple of days ago I washed it for the first time and when I was done, I went inside and there was some water on the floor. It looked like it came in from where the slide was. Is that normal to get water inside while washing it? Do you need to be careful when rinsing with the hose around the slide? Thanks for any help.
I was also wondering if you could tell me the changes that they made from the 07 model to the 08 model?
We love to get away in our new TT

Hang in there.....it is great that the company is helping you. I certainly understand your frustration. We survived a situation with a new HTT where we had to get the atty. gen. office involved. We had a dealership that was helpful but with an arrogant owner & a company (Jayco) that gave us the run around until atty. gen got involved. It takes a lot of patience but you WILL get thru it. As said, document EVERYTHING!!! We had leaks and delamination.

Insist on a new unit. It is what we did with Gulfstream on our first TT. It was less than a year old, leaked and had a catastrophic failure of the rear queen bed slide and wall. We left them no choice and made their options abundantly clear. We paid for a new trailer, I want a new trailer not a my new trailer factory reconditioned. If the damage was so bad it had to be sent to the factory for repairs, it was not coming back to us. That was before we founf numerous areas with mold from the leaks. GS made good by us with an upgraded unit and compensated us for the cancellations I had to make for the rest of our camping trips through the end of August. It took time but we were rewarded. It doesn't hurt to get some legal advice as well. There is no Lemon Law for nonmotorized units but I am sure a little pressure on a proven defective unit doesn't hurt. I say this as my wife is an attorney and I think her job title on her voicemail kind of kicked the wheels in motion a little faster for a resolution.
