We are still contemplating down sizing to a Class C. Have been looking around at different ones, However can't seem to find out the true gas mileage for the Class C's. Due to me getting older and the price of gas and also that we don't go as much any more, we thought a Class C would really be great. Some of the sales people don't seem to really know what the MPG for the Chevy gasoline motors are. So I figured the best place to get some good comments were right here on this site. We now have a Class A 36 " 3 slides 8.1 Chevy. We get about 7 mpg with Jeep toad. With a Class C 30' or so what kind of gas mileage can I expect?? Thanks

I have a 2000,28ft C on a E450 chassis and I get approx. 13-14 MPG on reg pump gas. I do not tow anything so those that do most likely would not get that much. I did replace my stock air cleaner with a K&N as soon as I got it home, and it seems to have made a difference in my motorhome. I take it over the mountains from Alberta into B.C so my route is always the same and my milage stays between 13-14 MPG. All I can say is to try to make the engine breath easier and do the speed limit and you should get reasonable MPG's.

I have a 2005 FourWinds 28A,Chev 6.0 V8, no slide, and I don't tow. I always drive at 60mph. The worst I got was 9.9 mpg going into a strong head wind. The best I got was 11.89mpg. I average 11mpg after 7000 mile on the clock. Road Dog

With a 27' Ford E-450 V-10 and not towing, I will get between 10.4 to 11.2 totally depending on driving speed, all check's were on level ground, and less than 1K' of elevation, and driving between 50 and 65 MPH.

I have a 2005 Four Winds 28 ft. With no slides and a Chey 6 lt. engine I tow a 2007 Chevy HHR 4 down. I just got back from a 4o70 mile trip to Texas and Fla. I checked the frist 950 miles at 58 miles per hour and got 12.6 MPG. Then for the rest of the trip I drove between 62.64 miles per hour and only got 9.7 and have never got less than 9.1 Go luck.

I have a 2005 Jayco 31 ft. Granite Ridge. Towing a trailer with two atv's and get between 9 to 10 mpg..I drive 55 mph..without the trailer I get 10 to 11 mpg if I don't have a head wind..otherwise it's back to 9 or 10 mpg..60 to 65 mph the mileage drops to 8 or 9 mpg...with a head wind 7 to 8..needless to say I stay at 55...

Are you sure your metric to miles conversion is correct? Most owners of rigs like yours report 8-10 mpg. I get 7.5-9. My 6.0 Chevy pickup can barely get 13-14.
