Last year we went to Spring Gulch campground the weekend after Labor Day. That is when they have their annual “Grandparent’s Day / Crabs and Corn Weekend”. Maryland Crabs and sweet Lancaster County corn dinner, reservations required. Variety of activities for grandparents and grandkids, including the live band Crusin' Down Memory Lane playing Saturday.
They currently have plenty of sites available. Before we make our reservations, we were wondering if anyone else is interested. If there is enough interest we can add it to the rally list on the forum. If only a few, we can just try to get some sites close to each other.
If you are familiar with Spring Gulch, the sites on the lower level are closer to the activity building, but are not full hookup, ie, no cable and the sites are not as nice. The sites at the top have full hookups, including cable, and are close to the pool and hot tub.
PM us if you are interested or if you have any questions.
Update
The crab and corn weekend is going to be Sept 5 - 7 this year.
The upper level sites are $54 per night for Water, Sewer, and Cable. The upper sites are closer to the pool and hot tub. Lower level sites are closer to the dance hall and crab feast area but do not have cable and only 30-amp sevice. We prefer upper level for swimming and relaxing, then walk or drive down for the other activities.
You have to make reservations for the crabs when you make your site reservations. Crabs are $20 per person for 5 crabs and 2 ears of corn. Not sure of the time on Saturday, but I think it was about 2 PM last year. They had extra crabs at the end last year and gave them out to whoever was there. You should bring your own drinks, not sure what if anything was available there.
The band played oldies that night and there were quite a few who attended and danced.
The weather was still nice last year and the pool and hottub on the upper level were open. The hot tub was very relaxing and large enough for a dozen people.
So far I've had replies from Latdo, garyr, and lloydlinda. If we get a few more we'll start our own thread.
This might be something we are interested in (not the crabs LOL but the camping) Just not sure yet depends on the summer and gas prices and work. Its a little to soon for us to be able to tell yet

Nah, no need for the new name. I believe the MrsXXXX was additions because the spouses were logging on using their other half's account and we never knew WHO was writing, so the spousal units got their own account. Tina already has her own. No need to confuse matters.
Cheers!

Erin - I'm impressed! You've had a whole bottle of Cuervo, since LANCASTER, and haven't cracked the seal?! Wow! LOL!
I keep telling Chris that it's a GOOD thing I don't drink much, because with the crazy, stressful, hectic month this has been, if I did, I'd be a raging alcoholic by now - LOL!
I'll be SOOOOOOOOO ready for Margaritas by the time we finally get to GB! I'm back in VA for about 48 hours, and have a TON of stuff to try to get done, before heading to Dover either Monday night or Tuesday a.m. We're loading the TT on Tuesday, and heading out Wed. for GB! WHOOOO HOOOOOOO!
I'm sure it happens to Chris all the time, but I can say it was the first time that I have been in an airplane when lightening strikes it. It was an experience.
Welcome home, Joe! BTW....if you guys aren't going to make GB, you could always come up for a day or evening, you know! You know where to find our group, and, if you get lost, just follow the flames - LOL!
