Home again (well, back to the Dover house, anyway) Actually, we had a REALLY good time, rain and all. Caught up on the episodes of Deadliest Catch that we missed, watched a movie last night, ordered Pizza (delivered) for dinner, and bummed around Lots of R&R, which was what we both needed, and the raindrops sure were nice to listen to during the night. We both came home with lists, though.
Packing up had it's own issues, and the crappy workmanship issues had Chris so irked that by the time we got home, I felt sorry for him. He kept finding more and more stuff that he was going to have to repair, and instead of coming home relaxed and rested, he came home more stressed than when we left, and with a list a mile long of things that need to be done before GB.
Guess it's a good thing we just took her up the road for her maiden voyage. Hopefully, we'll get the kinks worked out, and be able to totally relax in GB

You just pick a date, girl, and let me know! Can't WAIT to see y'all again
luvmykids wrote: Hey Chris ~ We had the pressure issue in the Roo and when I took the shower head apart, there was some type of regulator that I would guess slow the water down. It was in all the faucets also.
I dunno, Joe. I'm still leaning toward the stupid 1/4" city water tubing they installed just downstream of the city water hookup. Normally it's 1/2" or 5/8", but the one they have installed is half that. I can't see a 1/4" tube feeding the entire camper, but that's what Rockwood did.
To add insult to injury, I drained the tanks when we left Killens this morning and I got to try out the black water tank rinser they had included as standard equipment. I hooked it up and started the water flowing and the next thing I knew there was clear water coming from above the wheel well. I went inside and found the bathroom flooded. I don't have the patience to see which connection is leaking right now, so I'm going to take a nap and let it go for today. The next sunny day I plan to dig into all the bathroom issues and keep at it until everything's tight and flowing as it should.
Can't tell you how glad I am that we took a shake-down trip BEFORE GB. I'd be pulling my hair out and cussing up a storm (like I am now, except in front of kids & friends who really don't deserve it) if I found all this stuff when I was 150 miles from home and had no tools available.
Cheers!

The 1/4" lines I saw were not coming INTO the trailer, but going OUT to the outside shower. The inlet lines are indeed normal size. I took yours and Frank's advice and removed the filter and then removed the restrictors. The shower works like a champ.
Unfortunately, while I was under the sink, I noticed the cold water line to the bathroom sink is dripping and further investigation showed that the black tank rinse connection to the outside of the unit is leaking into the camper. The whole connection is loose and sprays both inside and outside.
I'm going to give the bathroom a couple of days to dry out and then hook up again and see if I can pinpoint any of the leaks and repair them.
On the upside, we got the mountain of camper stuff in the garage sorted, and mostly put away!!!! We've still got a tote of stuff to sort through in the camper, but at least we can walk again in the garage without having to jump over the piles Chris has declared Friday as "garage cleaning day", so hopefully, it'll all be organized again next time I go up, and we can actually FIND the stuff we need, when we need it, now Gee....got THAT all done, just in time for MOVING DAY, which is fast approaching - LOL! Tomorrow kicks off an entire month of an INSANELY busy schedule, here, culminating in the big move.
Unemployment, even though it'll only be for a few short weeks until I start a new job up there, sure is scary
Ok, she'll probably kill me for this, but here's a couple of pics from our shake-down trip to Killens on Monday... The weather was horrible with torrential downpours and tornado warnings just West of the town, no campfire, but she still found time to check her e-mail and read a book...
I'm still LOVING the atrium windows... and the dog still finds ME more interesting... LOL
Chris ~ I dunno, I think Tina might have been more comfy in the Hybrid... She really looks to be roughing it in those pictures.
We are off to Orlando in the morning to do a little Disney tomorrow and then on Saturday board the big boat for 7 days and then back to Disney for one. Then we can focus on camping.
OMG! I can't BELIEVE you posted those pics! ARGHHHHHHHH! Message to self: Break his camera when I get to Dover tomorrow!
Watching the storms, while cozy and warm inside, was really nice Hearing the raindrops on the rubber roof sounded just like on the canvas of the old camper, and was SOOOOO relaxing and peaceful. What he DIDN'T mention, is that's the FIRST time I've had a couple of hours to relax and do nothing, in WEEKS (and was the last time, too, until GB), so yes, I was enjoying every second of it Since then, I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off, trying to get ready for beach condo board meetings this weekend in Ocean City, MD, DD's graduation in NC next weekend, GB, a few days after that, oh yeah, and sometime in between, finish packing the house here, move things there, finish working here, finalize the job there, and the list goes on.... It's going to be an INSANELY busy month Sure would be easier (and a LOT cheaper), if it all didn't involve running the roads, up and down the East Coast - LOL!
Joe/Tracey - Hope you have a GREAT cruise! We'll sure miss you in GB A cruise sounds HEAVENLY right about now!

Nah, it was HER job to put together the beds from the inside. I did the canvas snaps and PUGs, and she did the reflectix, mattresses, memory foam, sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. It's SO nice to know the beds are made as soon as we hit a switch to open the bed slide....
