I am leaving on an rv trip tomorrow and went to turn my fridge on. The problem is while in gas mode it is not working. Within 45 seconds of turning it on the check light button comes on. It seems to be fine on electric, but i really don't want to run the generator the whole trip. I just had the propane refilled; anyone have any ideas about what the problem might be?
Thanks

air in the propane lines??? does the stove light?? Get the stove to light run it for 2-3 minutes then see if the fridge works. might take 3-4 cycles of it timing out to flush the air out of the lines..

I think everybody that has a Dometic "GETS" to buy a replacement circuit board at some point..........Dometic builds junk and they're very proud of that fact!
If you determine your circuit board is the problem.......look to "Dinosaur electronic boards" for a quality replacement!

ALL OF THE ABOVE - also, check your propane sniffer to see if it needs t be reset. Some sniffers shut off the gas valve.
Dinosaur Board is a GREAT upgrade, if you need one!
There are several websites - including Dometic - with in depth tips.

Shut it down and start over after doing the above. My frig is not close to the stove so some times takes a few tries even after that.

As earlier responders, a few more ideas. Shut everything down, turn gas on, go to most distant (from propane tank) gas appliance, cook top, water heater and verify that air is out of line. Do this by turning on the distant appliance until it lights, now you know for certain that air out of line. Next, disconnect shore power and make sure ignition switch is "Off", this tells the refer computer to look only for propane. If it doesn't light, open outside refer panel and check the fuse, if fuse open replace and start over. If fuse looks ok you probably have either a bused igniter or a bad circuit board. Dinosaur has both, maybe under $150? and they are really good on phone in helping you define your problem.

While it COULD be any of the above, it could also just be that there is dirt or rust in the burner tube. Obstructions here can cause the flame to be too small to keep the thermocouple "triggered". Same if thermocouple is misaligned or coated (insulated) in carbon deposits. Spider nests in burner area can also cause this.
Before jumping into high dollar items, do the routine burner area tuneup described in your Dometic owners manual.

I agree Spiders can be problematic causing his described problem.......but, I doubt this could be the problem when he's trying to operate the refer on electric........as he described in a later post.......

The only parts that I can think of that are common to the electric side as well as the gas side is the electronic control board........
