Anyone got any good replacement mattress suggestions? I've been getting stabbed by the springs in the mattress that came with my TT and don't want to break the bank on a mattress I won't use every night but don't want to wake up with a backache either.

There are really no cheap mattresses. You have to pay for quality. Lots of folks have had good luck keeping their "stock" mattress and adding a Temper-pedic (memory foam) topper. Might consider going that route.

We put a memory foam topper on our mattress and it made all the difference in the world. We purchased it at Sam's for around $150.

We put a 2" memory foam topper from Overstock on ours - best thing we've done so far to our camper; $79.

A memory foam topper is a good option for you. They aren't too expensive and are comfortable.

We just went and bought a regular queen matress from a shop nearby our house. It ran a little under $300 but feels wonderful. Plus you don't have to contend with toppers that way! We used a topper on our old matress that came with the camper because we hated the matress. But it wasn't enough!

We just went out and bought a new mattress for the TT. We tried the topper and if the mattress is bad underneath the topper - it won't help much - at least for us it was still a bad mattress - it just had a topper on it.
You can get a decent mattress for not a ton of money - try Sam's Club or Costco for a start.

We did the same as trailblazerpassport. Ordered a short queen (minus 1" width) for just under 300$. We previously had a heavy quilted topper mattress pad. It was good but does not turn a basic foam mattress into an innerspring!
What a difference!
