ya gotta get the truck to squat some before the timbrens start taking up weight. To me that would be ok if you started out with one of them butt high trucks when empty.
I paid too much for the air bags at $250 installed, by me of course.
OK, as a newbie I have to ask this question. What are Timbrens? I'm familiar with airbags, are Timbrens like overload springs or what? Can ya'll help this Yankee out.
2000 Ford Excursion V10 (SOLD) 2005 Exc. 6.0L PSD, 2wd, 3.73LS, Air Lifts with Load Controller II, towing '00 31SKS Holiday Rambler Alumascape with a '01 Hensley.
I have a 2005 Silverado 2500 HD.
I bought timbrens first. They are like bump stops on steriods. Yhey are softer,(not by much), but in my case, hauling a 32' fifth wheel trailer, they made the ride to hard, and riding empty, would sometimes bounce on a rough road, and give a hard hit to the suspension, (and my back). I returned them, bought firestone airbags. A much smoother ride, adjustable when towing or hauling.
