Some tidbits regarding water;
Only 2.5% of Earth's water is considered fresh water. Of this, only three-tenths of one percent is available to us via lakes, rivers, and streams. Unfortunately much of this is becoming irretrievably polluted.
1.1 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water
6,000 people die from inadequate water supply every 24 hours
3.7 miles is the average distance women in Africa and Asia travel daily to collect water
5.3 billion people (2/3rd's of the world's population) will suffer from water shortages by 2025
100-176 gallons of water is what the average U.S. resident uses daily at home versus 5 gallon per day for the average African family
One other note on water is that lake Mead here in the southwest "hoover/boulder dam" might dry up by 2021, that's only 13 short years away, Vegas gets 90% of it water from lake Mead..
