Very happy with LadyBird. Easy access to town.

We've stayed at Lady Bird twice and enjoyed it. We'll stay there again when in the area.

Have stayd at Fredericksburg RV park. Nice enough, but WIFI was not working at our site. A new RV park and the trees are still very small, so not much shade. Close to downtown. We always enjoy our stay in Fredericksburg.

Wife and I have stayed at the Oakwood RV Resort several times in the last 2-3-years, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Very accommodating, and friendly. Some of the sites are pretty close together, but the park is just off the main road thru town.

We were at a rally at the KOA in February 2007... management was great... would have no problem staying there again.

Guadalupe River RV Resort is nice, but don't plan on doing anything extra without a fee tagged on. $ for cable, $ to wash, $$ to stay a little beyond checkout... We've stayed here 3 times in the last year, and the friendliness of the staff has gone downhill each time. Last month was the worst. Supposedly under new ownership - haven't gotten to the chapter in their "how to run a campground book" about customer service yet.

I have a different opinion about Guadalupe River RV Resort. Yes, we did pay extra for cable but they are upfront about it on their website.
In regard to the comments about the staff, I must totally disagree as we felt they provided excellent friendly service. We stayed there in late February 2008. IMHO!

Take a look at By The River RV Park in Kerrville. Great fishing.

Guadalupe River Resort just raised their rates and they haven't added any amenities to account for the big raises. The weekly rate for a basic site went up $31 PLUS CABLE. None of the rules seem to be enforced - tying barking dogs up outside, stuff all around outside of rigs and picking up after pets. I'll do my winter six months somewhere else probably Buckhorn just up the road. They are now only slightly more expensive and MUCH nicer.

Going back to Fredericksburg Lady bird is nice with lots of large trees easy couple of miles into town and very clean. It is also the lowest pricest by far since it's called a city park. KOA is over priced and they have animals next fence over that woke us up at 6:00 each morning. BTW one of my favorite resurants is in Frederisburg and the name is The Nest in an old house on hwy87. It's not a cheep place but they do have wonderful food and a nice wine list. If you like shrimp try the citrus shrimp over mashed potatoes it doesn't sound great but I've eaten at some very nice places and it's one of the best IMO.
