The Fiesta X2 on the W24 chassis has a GVWR of 22,000lbs and a GCWR of 30,000lbs.

The base weight is 17,100lbs, which gives you almost 5000lbs for water, stuff, people and options. Then you still have 8000lbs for towing.

I've started looking at the Newmar All Star 3950 online. It's a very interesting floorplan. The pics I've seen make it hard to tell exactly how the bedroom area is set up.

It's not quite in my price range, but I might consider it.

The Jayco Seneca bunkbed model is just over 20,000 lbs with a typical load according to someone on this forum. That leaves me enough to tow my 3900 pound Road Runner on a 1400 pound open aluminum trailer.

The GS International models would be even better for towing. I don't need the extra half bathroom, so that's why I was considering the Endura over the Super Nova.

Well here is the details. I looked at literally every single floorplan with bunks and finally went with a windsport 34b. The super C's are still a class c and have limitations and floorplans that i did not like, the newmar is a great rig, but pricey. I really liked the allstar with the rear bedroom and beds above, seeing it online is not even close to the same as seeing it in person, tons of room and better than their bunk model. The astoria is to pricey for what you get in it, although a nice rig. The mandalay presidio is the way to go if you want bunks and a DP, if you are ok with gas, the four winds models are best. Also as to the 5000# towing, my close friend is a foreman at four winds, we optioned ours the way we wanted and have changed the receiver out for a larger unit fit to the rig and can tow up to 7500# within factory specs. I am sure there will be people that will question what i have done but it has been done by certified RV techs and can be done easily. The DP's are nice but they can ring you up on price, There is a dealer in Corona, California, that offered me a mandalay presidio bunk model for $155K out the door. I chose the windsport as we were able to get it for just over 80K just the way we wanted, a very very nice model with the feel of a larger unit and saved my extra money. FYI, i am getting about 8.5 mpg at 65 MPH and with our current toad which is 5500# we get 7.2 at 65 MPH.

Good luck friend.

The Windsport brochure lists the weights for the 34b as 22,000 GVWR, 26,000 GCWR.

Correction:

The W24 chassis has a GVWR of 24,000lbs NOT 22,000lbs/GCWR 30,000lbs

Base of 17,100lbs with about 6,000lbs for stuff NOT 5,000lbs

Then you ONLY have about 6,000lbs for towing

It is 6,000lbs of stuff OR 8,000lbs for towing.

Not Both...

Look at the 2001 Monaco Executive on Ebay. Bunk beds, 500 hp, lots of towing capacity and tons (literally) of CCC. We have the same year coach and we love it.

I didn't notice any bunks, either. That might be a little longer than I'd like, too. My trailer is 22' long.

I do appreciate the suggestion, though. Keep 'em coming.

Ooops! DDinCincy and I were looking at the wrong auction. There's another one with bunks further down the list.

69RoadRunner,

Besides Newmar, have you found any other better options?
