I have a brother in-law who I drew for a Christmas gift exchange next Christmas. I'm working on ideas for a present.
He's thinking of retiring early, and pursuing the full time RV life. His interest are fly fishing, fly fishing, and golf. (He knows how to fly fish, it's his passion in life. He's a good golfer also.) He's a novice at RVing, so I'm looking for literature that would combine the two.
He will need to supplement his income along the way in one form or another. He's only had a truck camper for an RV, but hopes to purchase a fifth wheel large enough for his wife and two dogs.
I'd like to buy some books for him, that might be resourceful to him in his pursuit. Can any of you recommend titles, authors or links to where I might find books on full timing, work camping....ect.
Amazon wasn't much help, and Google didn't help either. I saw at Camping world one book on the basics of full timing, but maybe some in this forum with experience knows more. Thanks for your help if you can.
Sincerely, Hans

Fly-working or fly-fishing as you called it is something I've never had any interest in. However, a fellow teacher is very much into it. If your brother-in-law already has his gear then he probably doesn't need a book. If he doesn't know anything about it and wants to learn then the Fly-Fishing for Dummies is an easy read for a beginner. As to his desire to full-time you might suggest that he first get the RV of his choice and then try some extended stays (2 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 months, 3 months) before he starts thinking about giving up his stick house.

We bought this book when we began to plan for fulltiming in 2000. Lots of good info on choosing a rig, stocking a rig, etc. It would make a great Christmas gift.
