I am trying to find some heavy duty rubber coated padlocks for my new toy hauler ramp doors. The rubber cover looks like it will help to protect the finish on the door. Master Lock has smaller ones, but nothing bigger than 1 9/16" that I can find. http://www.masterlock.com/cgi-bin/style_search.pl?dir=/residential/homeyard/&style_id=A3&sub_style_id=C312
I have seen larger ones but can't seem to locate them on the internet.
Any help is appreciated.

HERE
You may consider instead a vinyl coated stainless steel aircraft cable and a good padlock. I think any padlocr, ruberized or not, is going to eventually rubb away some of the RV's filon finish. So check this out too...HERE2 because you can get it longer, to go thru both sides of the doors hasp, and loop around.

I used to use the vinyl coated padlocks that forsuperduty put up a link for. I now use the hocky puck type, found them to be more secure because it doesn't appear they can be cut with bolt cutters.

I have been using the "hockey puck" for a few years, and it seems to work really well. No rub/ wear marks, weather resistant, and tamper-safe...
I got a three pack, keyed alike and use two on the ramp, and the third one to lock-up the toys.

I have been using the "hockey puck" for a few years also with no damage that I can see to the trailer. You will find a lot of them at the self storage places so they must be fairly secure.

The other option, if it will fit is the Shackleless Round Solid Steel, nothing on it to cut. If you're clamp will work with it its about the best one out there. Should work with most setups like the one pictured earlier. Just needs the tabs like you see in the second picture here.

This is what I have on my trailer but, I was able to use the existing brackets on my trailer (I did have to file them down a bit to be able to get the cam on the lock to work but, they are slick).
My old trailer had too much gap for them to work though. When you pick them up just get two that are keyed alike (should be a code on the package).

I like these the best, but they wont work with our TH. Ive seen some that grind out the inside a little and make them work. The "pucks" are the next best thing.

We use the puck style also.... Just remember to empty them out of water every so often.... I notice ours fill up sometimes...and also they will freeze shut...

Thanks for all the great feedback. The picture really helped alot. I will see if I can get one of the Shackless Round Steel locks to work and if not, go with one of the "hockey puck" syle locks.
I also received advice from someone else telling me about using the cable method, but just can't visualize how that would work and what the advantage would be.
Thanks to all for your feedback.
