Considering upgrading to 16" wheels so I can run some load range E's with 3000# capacity tires, but I'd rather go the less expensive route and upgrade my tires.
I can get 15" load range E, but I don't know if the WW rims are rated to 80psi.
Anyone know?

I don't know what wheel WW put on your trailer.
most steel wheels will not be rated for 80 psi
whatever wheels you use make sure you use truck valve stems
good luck

I'll bet your wheels have a rating on them. Unfortunately you need to dismount the tire to see rating, which is normally in valley on rim UNDER the tire.

Even if one poster knows his, are you willing to bet your life yours are the same?

Just my opinion.

We've got the same trailer, and I've got the same concerns you had.
I'd like to avoid spending the $1500, but it looks like I'm going to have to.
Thanks for your help.

I just put new Denman 225 75R15 load range E on my 05 WW FS2600. Installed the tires myself and there was no rating (psi or weight) anywhere on the wheel, only the size and date of manufacture. The wheels are made by Carlisle in Socal so I called them (909 947-1831), talked to Robin in customer service and asked if it was ok to run 80 psi and/or 70 psi. I waited while she talked to engineering and she came back to say 70 psi was ok but not 80 psi. FWIW my wheels came with steel valve stems.

Wow, I have had E rated tires on my WW for 3 years now. What is going to fail on the wheels if they are not rated for these tires?

a wheel that is carring over pressure rating will usually split around the bead seat flange after weight is added and usually lets go when making hard turns which puts side stresses on the wheel. any folks use etrailerpart.com for 16" trailer wheels. Great bunch to deal with.
