One thing the boat gives us that the RV cannot is the ever changing water view.....right from the bed.

We were avid boaters for years. Nothing fancy - 23 ft deckboat - but we boatcamped many times. One Memorial Day weekend we never got off the boat for 3 days, except once to buy ice.

Then came Hurricane Charley.

We had been weighing the RV vs Boating issues, and spent our money on a PopUp. Three trailers later we have a TH that we love.

Oh ya, we still have a boat, too.

Not us anymore! Got tired of going out with the same people from the yacht club, up and down the same river. Would rather have a hole on land to throw money at than a hole in the water. Did the whole thing, boat. boat house, yacht club membership, got the hats, shirts, burgies, etc!

And the only thing a boat can't give you is an ever changing view of the great US from anyplace in the MH!

Yes I am, Enjoy going and camping at East Harbor State Park At Lake Erie. Tow my 24' Thompson behind class c motor home. Also around home at CJ Bown Resv. and Ceasar Creek. Took 2 big trips with the boat and not the motor home. Put in at Cinci and went to Pittsburg and back 1 year. Then the following year put in same place in Cinci and went to Cario Ill. Just loved it. Also have been to Pentwater Mich. with camper and boat.

We keep our 202 Crownline at Table Rock Lake and tow the 5er to the campground - mostly weekends with the boat and we can still take the 5er on longer trips to our favorites in Colordo and Florida

We pay year around slip fee to store a 34’ SeaRay Express Cruiser and a Waverunner that are never used. Started in ’86 with a 21’ runabout, moved up to a 48’ houseboat which we raised the kids on and are now back to the 34’ which along with the Waverunner is very much for sale. Purchased our 5th wheel a year ago and are starting to really enjoy it. There is a lot of the good old USA I want to see, have seen all there is to see on Lake Travis.

I have been boating and RV'ing since I was grass high to a kneehopper. When I was 12 I got my first boat and motor for Christmas. I spent many years boating on the Trent Canal system and Great Lakes.
In the mid 80's I had the chance to move to Campbell River on Vancouver Island. It has to be one of the premier boating destinations anywhere. I spent 20 years building high end custom aluminum EagleCraft boats and a year ago started my own company doing marine repairs and upgrades. I have a customer base that extends from Portland to Juneau and get paid to pick up their boats and bring them to Campbell River for service.
Life is good when you get paid $80/hr to play with other peoples $500K boat.

We love our new 5th wheel, but I have a 18' bass boat with a 200HP Mariner also. Got to have something to fish out of when the fishing bug bites you. Plus, it's just fun to ride up and down the lake at 65MPH sometimes.
