I need to replace the front shocks on my 2006 Ford, Diesel,F250 Super Duty, 4X4. I've been quoted the same installed price for both Rancho and Munroe Reflex top of the line shocks. Which brand would you reccommend? The pickup is used extensively to tow a 14,000 pound fifth wheel.

Thanks,
Harold

I second the Bilsteins. Made a world of difference on how my '06 GMC 2500HD handled.

I just made my first run with Bilsteins on the rear of my F 250 (99 model) and I don't think they are what they are cracked up to be, but I do have that yelow paint showing in the rear

Not Monroe Reflex. Those are not heavy duty shocks. The Reflex is made more for comfort and the Monroe Gas Magnum is the heavy duty shock.

Both Rancho and Monroe are the same company. They're brands of Tenneco. Rancho is heavier duty.

I agree that Bilstein is the top choice.

Why just the fronts? I prefer four matched shocks.

All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

i just added bilsteins to my truck and althought they were $400 for the 4, they have made a noticeable difference in the truck.
I am also not a fan of Rancho, basically my experience with them were on my jeeps and they were like buying a BIC lighter.
