My motorhome has an installed propane quick disconnect fitting for using a gas barbeque. Has anyone purchased an adapter and hose that will permit the use of the coach propane for a table top portable barbeque that normally uses a propane cannister?

Almost any local propane dealer should have the hose that connects from a propane tank to a device that was designed to accept the disposable bottles. That is where I got mine.

If you don't have a regulator on your grill your adapter has to come off the low pressure side of your motorhome line.

Sorry, I don't think that will work for you. I spent many of hours questioning and searching. Those Quick connects are low preasure as they fall after the trailers regulator and I've been told many times that it's not enough preasure to open the regulator on a tabletop stove or BBQ. The only sollution I've been provided was to "cut in" before the trailers regulator and create my own quick connect OR find yourself a BBQ that doesn't have a regulator or one that you're able to bypass without blowing yourself up. I decided to just get myself a 10lb propane tank, 2 hoses and a T valve. When I set up I hook up both the stove and BBQ to the tank and I'm good.

I tried to just get the part and test it for myself but the guy at the propane store got pretty upset after explaining it to me multiple times and claims others have tried and failed. If it works for you let me know.

I had one on my previous coach and it worked fine. I installed one on my new coach and it doesn't always work fine.
I have read where you need to turn the gas on slowly then it works. Apparently turning the gas on too fast has an adverse affect. Don't ask me to get technical here because I have no idea .
I haven't tried it yet but will when we leave next month on our trip.

If you open to fast it causes the Dussenberg compisator to bind in the Hysen-Duetz rail.

I knew there was a very reasonable explanation....... now how do you spell Dussenberg compensator?
