Where is a good place to fill propane tanks? Fantasy and BP and the likes appear pretty proud of their prices and the convenience surcharge seems a little high...

Thanks - B

I fill at the Flying J out I-80 west of Millard. The Bluffs used to have cheaper fuel, especially diesel, but not anymore. There's a U-Haul off I-29 south near Wal*Mart, and a U-Haul on the "L" Street frontage road west from 84th Street in SW Omaha.

I have a sweet tender nature, however I enjoy sharing my thoughts and opinions.

As you roll down the highways, keep an eye open for MFA and other co-ops and farm stores and local propane/butane dealers. They likely all have propane at a pump and will be priced below the Convenience Center places.

Prices for propane, the stuff that keeps you warm, are all over the place.

All you can do is keep your eyes open. I've seen price differences of over 1.50/gallon from one station to another. Same gas, VERY same gas (Both the same supplier) but major difference in price
