We are living and traveling fulltime in a 5th wheel with three cats. It took some planning but it's working out just fine. We ordered a large soft sided travel cage from (Sturdi Products) that folds flat when not in use. We added a hammack and a smaller litter box. We started out using regular scoopable litter, but changed to a pellet type from PetCo/PetSmart.

We never take the cats into/or out of the trailer until all the slides are open or closed. We also bought 3 harnesses. One cat is doing very well walking in her harness.
Actually we just follow her around while she explores our campsites. (She walks us.) The other two cry when they are left in the 5th but drop to the ground like their harnesses weigh 50 lbs. They do like to crawl in the grass if we are lucky to have a grassy campsite. I think with time they will get the idea of walking on a leash, like their smarter big sis.

I forgot to mention in my above post that we've met several folks who are traveling with cats. We are in a campground in Benson Arizona right now. Yesterday we met a couple who were walking their two beautiful cats in the campground.

I had Susie, our one leash walking cat, out walking when we came across this couple walking their two cats.

I'm also going to be traveling with my cat and am planning on using some sort of crate/container type thing. I'm just wondering if those of you that do travel wtih cats have a litter box in their travel crate ? If not, do you stop along the way and let them potty ? How does that work ? I don't want him "holding it" since male cats are prone to urinary blockages.
Thanks
I do not have a litter box in my cats' crate-but I withold food and water the morning I break camp-and then limit road time to 200 miles or so. They usually sleep through the whole thing, after pouting a bit for not getting breakfast upon awakening!
