What hose do you use when filling your toilet when there is not enough black water in your tank?

I don't use a hose. I put some water in the tank via my Flush King after I'm finished dumping. I look down the toilet (from inside the RV) with a flashlight until there's enough water in the tank to sufficiently cover the bottom of the tank. The other method I've used is to flush the toilet (holding the pedal down) until the bottom of the tank is covered with a few inches of water.

I dont have much problem with tank flushing. #1 == No POOOOOO in coach!!!
#2 == I only camp on weekends and my typical 1 weeks vacation. So I use the flush lever to fill tank with water (At least 2") then let er drain.
#3 == When we PEE, we hold flush to pour in lots of water at that time also.
>>>>>>>I think if I used mine for longer periods at a time. Id buy a flush king and use it regularly.

I purchased what I call a doughnut at Camping World. It fits into the toilet and keeps it open so the water flows. I do other things and just check on it once in a while.

I use a standard green/grey garden hose, not the white drinking water one myself.

If dumping I use a gray hose to attach water to to flush system. Always use a little extra water during normal use. Wife also dumps some dish water in while camping as the black tank usually has more available capacity than the others.

Hi Newbie,
I sometimes just stand there and hold the handle halfway to fill up the bowl a few times or fill a bucket in the sink and pour it in.

I use the shower hose to run extra water in the toilet. Just take off the showerhead and let the water run.
Another hint. With the showerhead on, it makes toilet clean-up easier at times too.

Another tip I got from somewhere else is to dump a bag of ice in the tank just before you hit the road. Then dump at your next destination if possible, at very least it has knocked some solids loose and mixed them up.
