Looking for info on places to stay this summer.
We will be pull a 30 ft trailer and would like to stay at a camp ground in sauble beach for a week.
It doesn't matter if its private or PP.

Any info would be great

There are two excellent campgrounds right in the town of Sauble Beach close to the water. Woodland Park is probably the nicest campground we have ever been at and also very nice is Carson's Camp. Both recommended. There is another just east of the town, Sauble Beach Resort Camp that we have not visited.

The PP was nice, but you'll want to be certain to stay on east side park. Too twisty turny for a large rig.

We stayed there as a central spot for the area.

Staying on the east side of the park is good advice. I think you might have trouble getting to the dump station with a 30 ft. trailer though unless they have made some changes in the past couple of years. We have been going there since the early 60's - it is an older park and was designed for tents - not long RV's. There are some sites that can handle longer rigs but the roads and turns are very tight.

Theres' the one turn which was cut through a hill, had a tough time with our 19 footer, can't imagine a bigger rig making it.

Woodland Park is the highest rated campground in Canada, the only triple 10 rated place.

While you are there, go up front and see if there online computer is still working, ( I did some tune ups on it when I was there last)

A nice sidetrip is up the peninsula, how much time do you have?

Just a few miles up in sauble falls you can walk out and see the falls a nice side trip

We have been camping at Woodland Park since 1985.It is very difficult to get a spot for a week on short notice. The best thing to do is call and see if there are any cancellations. We are there for a month this summer and only had a choice of 4 or 5 sites, and we have to move once. It is a very good area for things to do. The beach is very nice but they charge you $5.00 a day to park on the road . We went in one street and the parking was free. Hope you make Sauble Beach, you will enjoy it alot.
