I have a new Jayco 27.5 RKS ( 2008 ) and had axles bend. The dealer rebent the axles and replaced two of the Goodyear Marathon tires with Chinese made Goodride tires.

Has anybody have any experience with this brand for a 9990 pound trailer?

I am concerned with the quality of these tires.

Thanks.

I think I'd be concerned with why the axles bent. Any idea as to the size of your axles?

I would use those chinese tires just long enough to get to a tire store and replace them before you have many dollars of damage done to your rig from separated treads. JMO

All tires should match. If possible, go back and get those "Goodride" tires replaced with matching Goodyear Marathons. Or, better yet, push to get all tires replaced, so they are the same brand and age / treadwear.

That is kind of a crappy thing for a dealership to do, replace name brand tires with knockoffs when doing warranty work.

I wouldn't be concerned with a rebent axle as thats how they can be fixed. I would be concerned with those cheap tires or any ST tires on a 10000 trailer. Thats not a good reliable mix. If those tires/wheels are 15" ST I would recommend a upgrade to 16" trailer wheels and a quality LT titre that the tire manufactor recommends for trailer use, if possible.

Personally, I would avoid the Goodyears! Mine lasted 600 miles...no abuse, proper weight and inflation etc.

I personally think that that deal of haveing to match all four tires on a trailer is urban legend. No one has ever come up with a plausable reason why.

I am running marathons on the front axel and titans on the back.

What is the problem, all tires are the same size, it is just that the titans are E and the marathons are D

The d's have enough load rating for the load.

In answer to the readers' prompt comments I have the following new information to share:

The axles are 3500 pound rating. I asked Jayco to upgrade to a 5000 pound rating if they had to be replaced. The dealer had to take the axles off and ship them from Vancouver Island to the eastern USA. For some reason they couldn't get them across the border and they were sent back. A local Dexter axle shop did the rebend.

I have checked the tires and note that the rims that the tires are on have a red and blue stripe around the outer rim so it appears that two of someone elses tires and wheels have been put on my trailer since my rims are plain white!

I have to go back to the dealer, who is two hours from home, to find out what has happened.

The tires I was commenting on appear to be brand new and put on the right front and the left rear wheel positions with my Marathon on the other wheel locations.

I have never heard of " GOODRIDE " tubeless " Super ST " made in China tires. They are ST205/75 R15 and show for trailer use only.

Thanks for your comments.
