On my way home from weeklong Pismo trip, 1 mile from storage the leaf spring hanger broke on my trailer. The connector tab broke off of the triangle and the spring is now wedged up against the frame. I've got a phone pic I'll try and post. Have extended warranty and the trailer place is giving me the run around. Called eclipse with no call back in a week.

My experience has been that some extended warranty places exclude suspension parts. I know Good Sam CPS does. Hope yours is different. Good luck.

It’s probably not going to be warranted by Eclipse or the dealer and like DBBLS said, usually extended warranties don't cover frames. If you look at your warranty paperwork, it will probably be covered by the frame manufacturer’s warranty, that is if it hasn't expired yet. I think that Lippert made your frame with a 2 year warranty.

Good Luck!

I had the same issue on my Sierra Sport. I ended up calling the company that manufatures the chassis and they ended up sending me everything for free so that I could fix it myself.

What extended warranty company did you go with?
I just purchased one from Interstate and according to the leaflet that they gave me they cover the following listed under "suspension":
Wheel bearings, coil and leaf springs, shackles, shackle bushings, spindles, spindle supports, axle shafts, actuators.

Hope this might help someone.

Yeah I called the dealer, eclipse and lippert. No one wants to help since the trailer is now 3 years old. I took a second look and it appears that only the 2 clips that bolt through the bracket that holds the 2 leaf springs together broke. So I should be able to fix it myself. I'll post pics afterwards.

I am also trying to track down my paperwork for the extended warranty. If its in there and the dealer turned me down... well let's just hope that doesnt happen.

If this is an Eclipse problem let's voice it it here! And let others know.

No, it is not only an Eclipse problem. It is a Lippert problem. My new KZ broke a rear spring mount last night at the top of a pass. Pulled into a DOT equipment storage yard. Emptied out my stuff and left it behind and drove 3 hrs home. KZ has called me many times today already. They gave me the GM's name and # if things can't get handled at the dealer level.

Bummer!

I had seen one of those issues on a Glamis Dunes Forum post.

Make sure you have lube in there. If they are dry, I think you'll have a tough time getting any warranty. Kinda like saying I have a 100,000 mile warranty on my car so I never change the oil!
