I knew it was coming, yet I was still a little shocked. With all costs spiraling upward this Green (and Red) Sticker cost increase is hard to take. Then, I try to relate the cost to other entertainment choices. Heck, they want ten dollars to see a movie now-a-days, and that's without a visit to the snack bar. One increase in twenty years I'm willing to swallow. Just keep my riding areas open. I can do without a trip to the movie theatres.

I knew I was right! My kids 1984 Honda 50 went to just that $50.00. The state just can't figure our where to get its money. Just wait until Los Angeles passes the 9 cent tax on the gas and the 90.00 increase for vehicle registration. This state is so *&^%$# up.

More on the ground projects and maintenance. The increase (although an increase) isn't that much seeing how the fee has not increased in 20+ years.
That is exactly what happened, check out the CORVA link and read all about SB742. Hopefully we're wrestled control of the funds away from the environmentalists and can do some good with this money. I've listened to Daphne Greene (head of CA Parks & Rec. OHV) twice and she is behind this 100% as far as controlling the funds is concerned.
Another way to look at is if the fee were inflated to match 70's dollars we would be way over $50.00 now.

What I don't understand is why the EVO's aren't out in force protesting land development out in the high desert here in So Cal. Building homes and mini malls destroys the desert way more than OHV does. They are building like crazy out there. Getting really close to some OHV area's to.
The rais in fee's , although I don't agree with it, should be for improving or providing more OHV area's. We pay it, we get it. Let the EVO's get their own cash. Oh ya, they don't have a way to raise funding do they. Well then, they should be greatfull and thank us for their funding we give them, otherwise would they even exist???? Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

We have 2 race bikes (Red Sticker)that are ridden only the track. What would happen if we didn't pay the fees? Just thinking out loud of course.

hopefully this will wake up even more off-roaders to the plight of our sport. we are constantly being bombarded with closures, fee hikes (glamis and dumont fees continue to rise), and agression from anti-access groups like the sierra club.
All of you pitchin a ***** about this fee hike, which was outlined by all the major players in California almost a year ago (corva, Food, fodd, ASA, etc)need to actively get involved with these groups now, so that you are aware of the problems currenly being fought, as well as what is on the horizon
GET INVOLVED PEOPLE!!! WE OUTNUMBER THE GREEN WIENIES 3 to 1, but because not all of us are politically active in our sport....were getting killed with initiatives, senate bills, and closures
