We have owned an '01 Cedar Creek 31.5 LR since mid-'03. We have pulled about 15,000 to 18,000 miles and we have been quite pleased. We had to replace one of the slide relays in '2004. We have also seen some minor de-lamination of some of the galley flooring. Other than that, a couple of fridge service bulletins, and replacement of a couple of exterior plastic parts it has been trouble free. The exterior parts would be replaced regardless of model (vent cap and sewer vent cap).

Sorry for your poor experience and I understand how having problems can form our opinions. I have had a few issues with 04 CC that I thought were going to be problems for me, but I worked direct with Cedar Creek and all were corrected. Steve Hicks is the contact at CC factory that handles all service, he is a great guy. He will see that any and all issues are corrected and that you are totally satisfied with your rig. When we are ready for a new rig Cedar Creek will be on top of the list.
We were told that the CC and Cardinal come down the same assembly and made the same except for the name. We chose the CC because of what you get for the money. We did look at some Cardinals but didn't like the floorplans.
We ABSOLUTELY love ours and are eagerly awaiting RVing Season!

Who ever told you that was lying. They are very similar but built in two different plants.
I think the Cedar Creek has it's own plant and even it's own contacts within Forest River itself which might explain why so many people have had good luck with their CC and warranty repairs.
