This morning, walking into walk, I saw a duck in the parking lot at BP. As I watched, 2 more popped their heads around a bush.

This afternoon, Seagulls were flying around and squawking. The signs are no more clearer.

The camper goes on this weekend and gets de-winterized.

BTY, 51 degrees at my house in west Anchorage at 5:00pm ))))))

YEAH!!!

Well, if spring has come to Anchorage, it can't be too far behind in Illinois! Actually, you're usually warmer than us through much of the winter, and today is no exception - though only by a few degrees. Enjoy!

Its 85 and clear skies where we live on a Farm 2 hours south of Sydney Australia.

The bad news is winter is coming and frosts are predicted next week.
The trees are just starting to turn.

Wish I was in Anchorage?

If the pattern holds true, at the first hint of spring, Anchorage becomes insta-California for a while...with bicycles, rollerblades, etc all over the place, then there always seems to be a cold snap that drives 'em all back inside.

When I lived there it was a funny thing that happened each year. When Anchorage seemed to be done with winter, the lower 48 still suffered thru the snow and heavy rains. It may get really cold there and deep too, but it seems the winters go away sooner than the lower 48. I still miss it.
