Has anyone else heard the deal the Thousand Trails is offering the Outdoor World members?

What do you think?

If you are TT, you may get some information from here.
This is a new group of RV parks that are now in the system.

As they are holding small group meetings around the country for Outdoor WOrld members and extending an offer for $5995 where by we can join TT and LT, increase our dues by $79.00 per year, but stay at any of those parks. I think he called it a TT Platninum II membership, only offered to OW members for now.

It also includes two free TT National memberships that we can give away or sell if we choose and up to 8 member cards that our children can use for $30/year (full membership).

Dues are frozen at 62, and it includes some other bennies like half off cruises and condos, and a $149/yr entry into RPI whenever we want it?

You have to make the decision right at the meeting and I am always uncomfortable with that kind of pressure sales...

Yes went to the meeting and for $6500. I could upgrade from an Outdoor membership to Platinum membership that includes TT and outdoor world. We said no thanks its not for us. I don't get out west and there's only 2 TT in the east so already having OW it didn't work for us. If your TT's out west there are no OW in the west so may not work either.

I tend to agree. If we were full timers, then it might be worth it to travel around, but at 52, I still have a little ways to go before then. I also told them no thanks.

I'm not the one that they told only two in the east to. They actually gave me a book that showed the TT campgrounds, and there are quite a few.

The issue with us is that while we go camping to several outdoor world CGs, at this time in our lives, we can not justify spending $6,000 for the additional memberships. Too many othere more important things to do.

Also, I do not like situations where when you attend a meeting, you HAVE to make your decision at the meeting, or the deal's off. That raises a red flag to me every time. Kind of like Amway...

Look here You can find a used platinum membership for under 4,000. Thousand trails is a great system if you plan on traveling a lot or full timing, I've been a member for 18 years...Bruce
