In Whitehorse today - we've been going slow and enjoying the scenery, hot springs, and wildlife. 2 grizzlies, 2 blackies, many moose, caribou, and sheep, and a red fox last night.

Stayed one night on Muncho Lake at the campground. Although the campground is closed there is one spot accesible before the gate. Very nice.

We also had the high winds all day yesterday around Watson Lake. Posted our sign and then hunkered down at Wye Lake Park for a few hours watching the loons, ring-necked ducks, canvasbacks, and scaups.

Beware the large troop of Aussies in 25 "Sunseeker" RV's they can take over a campground but are good folks.

Nomorbills
Ship Creek CG has character. YOu have wake-up service every AM about 5:30. It is a good place to get to know your neighbors.

Fred's isn't too bad. We stayed in the Palmer area while visiting Anchorage. Town and Country Campground is pretty good.

I have a "sort of fix" for the puter! Slow conection though. I will be watching here for you guys to show up.

Things are busy at Deep Creek. Good tides for fishing and clamming I hear.

Back to work.

Good place to avoid in Anchorage
Downtown RV on Northern Lights BLVD.
We looked laughed and moved on. Creek Side RV. seems a better bet, we did not stay there either.
Writing this sitting in Denali Park every thing is not working but close, Prudoe Bay next week.
Cheers

Jlawless, which way are you heading? We have done 3 nights in Dawson. Leave tomorrow for TOW highway. Thinking of dry camping along that tomorrow night & be in Tok for Sunday (next chance for WIFI). You might catch up with us. The word I get from a few who have been on it in the last couple days is that the TOW is dusty but generally in good shape.

3 weeks and counting!!!! I can't wait, I've been busy studying The Milepost. I do have a question for those of you there, and, like me, soon to be there: have you made cg reservations? If so, how far in advance? And where? I made reservations in Banff/Jasper and in the 5 ferry ports where we have 2-3 day visits, but that's it. We plan to go to Denali, Kenai Penn (several stops) Our coach is 38', so I know we will not "fit" in some places. Those of you there; how full are the cg's? I know it's still a little early, just wondering if fuel costs have kept some folks away. Kathy
