I saw at my dealer that you could buy grey plastic strips that you slide under the bunk edges so that when you bring slides in and out it dont damage flooring or rug. has any1 tried these yet? how do they work?

Here they are.. Slide Out-Slicker

I have heard that they do work. Our slides are not causing any carpet or floor problems, but if they were I would probably give them a try.
If you do decide to get them, let us know what you think.

Ii don't know if they work or not but seems to me that if your slides are causing damage it would be better to have the slide adjusted because they shouldn't. Good luck / skip

no its not. but my trailer is a brand new 2008 and I can see light light marks in rug where slide runs. im just worried that in time itll wear a light path. not only that but im laying laminate down where my lino was and i dont want slide to catch laminate transition piece.

They are a pain to get started. I have to start to bring the room in, then push them under the lip. I have to put weight on the the slider farthest away from the switch and step on the one nearest the switch. If I don't the room will push it out about a foot before it catches. I don't see any diffence using them or not but also it is a new camper. Duane
