I had to replace my 1 1/2 year old Maxxis tires so I chose Marathons. So far they have outlasted the Maxxis but have no idea how long they will go. I do use a tire pressure monitoring system so that gives me a little comfort.
BTW, my Marathon's were made in Canada in 2006.

GY Marathons -were- made in the USA - pretty good tire.
Then, went to China - pretty bad tire.
(If you had good results with made in China GYs - guess it's a good tire)

Apparently some are now showing up as mfg in New Zealand (probably a good thing).

However - -IF- you are considering purchasing GYs, make sure you do two things:
1. Check country and date of manufacture!
I had good luck with Marathons also - but tires were about 9 years old - figured
time for a new set (about 3 years ago).

GY was still making Marathons in the US, I was told (after spotting date/s
of 17 months old) that they only did a trailer tire production run once a year.
That was direct from GY. Distributor didn't have anything newer.
For that trailer (15" tires) - went to Cooper tires.

2. Search the forums for "Marathon" and "Goodyear", etc. There have been quite a few "failures". Maybe operator error (under-infalted) - maybe not.
Also - what size/weight is a poster's trailer? My Marathons were on
a 20 ft TT.
Bottom line: Your trailer, your money - your decision.

Jayco - talked to Jayco about tire "choice". GY Marathon is their (acceptable) low bid. (no "upgrades" from factory).
I prefer Michelin XPS Ribs (16" wheels) on the (my) Jayco 5er.
World of diff between the Ribs and Marathons.

PB - that's interesting! (load range "E" and 80#).
Previously, Marathon = ST (235/80 R 16) "D" tires @ 65 psi.
Are your Marathons ST or LT tires? Load capacity?

Not if you are in my shoes. I had seven GY Marathons disintegrate in two years, the pressure was always at #80 and the weight was #2500 per tire with steel valves. For the last two years I have been running Michelin XPS Ribs and haven't had a problem since. It is possible the GY's I had on my 5er were made in China and running them on the hot Florida roads could have mad it even worse. So if you think this sounds sarcastic, think again.
