would like to tow a smart fortwo car (approx 1600 lbs) behind my a class c but on a trailer. anybody have a web site for a trailer i can drive my car onto or any suggestions?
Any tandem axle flatbed trailer, with brakes on both axles, an on-board battery for the breakaway system, and possibly a winch on the front. If desired, you can put a splash shield on the front to protect your car. From a weight standpoint, an aluminum trailer would be best, but they are expensive. Check your local Yellow Pages for Trailer Dealers.

I think the website may be down or I would have posted a link, but www.smartcarofamerica.com has an owner's forum with a couple of threads on towing. Blue Ox makes a base plate for the Smart. One of the threads has the part number. We're getting ours installed next week. Can't wait to go camping!
There was a long discussion on this forum a while back about this topic. Do a search. The guy was trailering a small Toyota on an aluminum smart car trailer. He had pictures and website.
