What is the mileage on this "show" RV?

Also, you said the build date was August 2006, did you mean August 2005?

So you are considering 100% financing on a depreciating asset? Sounds like a bad decision to me. Guess I'm old fashioned.

The chassis and house batteries most likely are bad or will be shortly. Plan on replacing them soon or see if the dealer will for you.

I don't know the mileage, I'm going back with my dad tomorrow to have him go over it. He's got a 40' Monaco DP and will know more about what to look for. This will be our first class A or diesel and as you can see we were a little overwhelmed. Glad we got out of there to think it over as we were ready to sign without doing any research first.

Ditto.. Why in the world would you even consider 100% financing on a unit that will certainly depreciate when you drive it off the lot?? Sorry, doesn't make sense to me...

Deal sounds reasonable all the way until you said 100% financed. Remember in todays market it will probably only be worth, for resale as a 3 year old used unit since some 2009 units are already out and others are on the way, about 80 to 100K as soon as you drive it off the lot and you will be upside down.
If you cannot put at least 20% down, it will not be a good deal for you in the future.

Probably because he can afford it and it's NOT an investment.

Me three!!!

Part of the reason we had the housing bubble and burst is that people want the grandest stuff, but have no money down.

Is the dealer a "servicing" dealer or is he the type that will blow you off once the sale is complete. If he's the latter, it's not a good deal.

For the money, I don't think you will beat Newmar for a quality coach. They do a lot of things inside and behind the walls that you don't see and things many manufacturers don't do.

I think you have a good deal there. As someone said, make sure you plan on keeping it for a while. I think it is a good deal on a good coach. Newmar does not have different assembly lines for their top of the line coaches and the less expensive ones. They have one assembly line and your Ventana is put together by the same techs that assemble the Dutch Stars and the Essex. I think you have found a fairly good deal.
