Hello everyone, were looking for a good local seafood restaurant, we'd prefer sit down but any recommendations are welcome.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I don't personally eat seafood at the beach. However. There is the world Famous Calabash Seafood. In the town of Calabash, Just over the NC line. I'm told, and it is backed up by all the media. that Calabash is the best. Bar none. It is sit down.
Don't be fooled by all the "Calabash Style" places in MB. Go to Calabash.

It's been a while since I've been to MB but I believe the name of the restaurant we really liked was Prestons in N. Myrtle Beach. Good seafood buffet and very reasonable prices.

We have been to Crabby Mikes many times and then tried the Calabash deal and have been back to Crabby Mikes twice. Calabash was not bad, however is not worth the drive from MB.

I have tried most all of Calabash Buffets and believe it or not we found Red Lobster to be best in town. I was very surprised, but Red Lobster just happens to be my most favorite place anyway.

You can go north to Calabash if you like. You won't go wrong.

OR - you can go south to Merrills Inlet and you will find restaurant row. The best of the best..........all JMHO

If you want sit down seafood restaurants, we like Sara J's & Gulfstream Cafe in Garden City Beach. The food is good in both places. Gulfstream cafe has early bird specials, both the price & the food is good.

Enjoy your trip. We will be in Myrtle Beach Apr. 19th through May 22nd.

Tried Sara J's for the first time last year. I believe it is considered Murrells Inlet area. Thought it was pretty good. We WILL eat there again this year. As far as buffets go, We liked Benjamins Original Calibash in N. Myrtle Beach.

We like The Sea Captains House. It is located on the waterfront near 30th Ave. North and Ocean Drive. Bovines and Drunken Jacks are good in Murrell's Inlet.
