I guess you could say the first four pics are "before." We wanted to freshen up the interior with new window treatments and linoleum which was covered with some rather old carpet. The wall paper was dingy and the pattern was not our taste either. During the clean up portion we decided that since it was just the two of us, I would modify the dinette bed to allow for more floor space. Essentially all I did was remove a portion of the box that makes the seating area/bed. The wall behind it was “finished” so the look is natural. It makes maneuvering between sink and back door/dinette area much less crowded.

This is the “after.” Fresh paint/carpet/linoleum and blinds got us about 90% of the way there. There are a few trim pieces we would like to change along with recovering the dinette to something more neutral. The reduced size of the dinette meant I had to cut down the dinette foam to fit the seat. It was no biggie, and I kept the foam and removed wood portion in case we ever decide to sell we can put it back to original form. Overall we are very happy with the way things turned out so far. The bath room is fine as is for now, so only minor things may be done to it in the future. I am thinking of removing the oven “guts” and turning it into a roll out cabinet for pot/pan storage. We really only use the cook top burners. But stop me if you have some reason that an oven might come in handy for later!
