I am preparing to order the parts to tow my new 08 4D Jeep wrangler behind my motor home. I have identified at least that prefer to use a Raodmaster bar and am searching for an appropriate mounting bracket base plate to attach to the Jeep that will be the least visible when not towing.
Roadmaster shows two versions for my stock bumper JK without elect. front sway bar disconnect, an MX model #1428-3 and an XL model
#1428-1. Both have the same price and looking at the online install directions they are both identical installs.
Can anyone provide any input to help with my decision?

I don't recall my Md# but I have the roadmaster bracket that is non-visable when you remove the pins.
Good set up.
Their tec support is great if you give them a call.

After a little more research I think I have found the difference between the two brackets. I believe the difference is that the MX is for motorhome mounted tow bars. Since I will be using a motor home mounted Falcon 2, I think the MX should be my selection. Any input?

Very good advice is available from billarf. You can view his ongoing topic on towing JK Wranglers at this link JK Tow.
