The Stars are letting the Sharks back into the series. At least my Wings get a few days rest.

Wow....I just got home from the Pistons game and I thought Dallas/San Jose were still playing! That was a crazy game!
Sorry Av's fans, but I don't think it was the Red Wings that "sucked" last week!

Well, now it's the conference finals. Wings up 2 games on the Stars, while Pitt & Philly are battling during game 2.
Who makes the finals?
I say Wings-Pens

The Wings and the Pens are the two most rested clubs that are in the semi's, and it is showing. You have to Pick Detroit to run the table, if not it will be in 5. I am not sure that the Pens will have it that easy, they will come out of it with more than enough bumps and bruises.
This should be a advantage for Detroit, I say in 6, we'll wait and see.

Well it's down to the Penguins and the Red Wings. I think this is the best set up for the cup in quite a few years. I think of it as a changing of the gaurd. I would love to see the Pens pull it out. It reminds me of the erly 80's when the Oilers came on the scene and dominated for years, taking Montreal out of the picture for years to follow. If the Red Wings loose, there is a lot of players that will be throwing in the towel. I am sure Hasek and quite a few others are done after this year. Some might say they will win, they have the knowledge and the experience, alot is to be said about youth and desire.
I think a lot of the game is going to ride on the officials. The only majour complaint that I have about the Red Wings is that alot of calls are made in their favor, I can understand due to the brittle bones that have. But keep you eye out, gaurenteed they will be making some bad calls against the pens.

You can t seriously be saying that all the various officials that will be involved in officiating the Stanley Cup finals will favor one team over the other.Any set of officials that tried that would be looking for work next year, thats not to say that there aren t some bad calls made once in a while but they usually even themselves out over several games.I think Wings take it in seven games cause "brittle bones" and experience will beat youth and exuberance.
