Anyone who thinks there is not a bias towards the Red Wings has obviously never watched them play. I am not a Red Wing hater by any means, but it is extremely obvious. Pens in 5. Even with the cheap calls. Watch for cheap penalties. The year the oilers made the run for the cup, in 06 I saw 7 consecutive penalties against the Oilers, and they weren't all called for. You don't think the same happens for all sports?

Evidently you did not watch game 4 of the Wings/Stars series - the first three power plays went to Dallas and then the goal that was not allowed when the referee ruled the Wings player was in the crease when he clearly was not. The officials did everything they could to keep Dallas in the series. The NHL hates sweeps as it reduces their air time on television at a time when they need to keep interest in their sport and they need all the national exposure and as many games as they can get.

I grew up in Windsor Ontario,as you probably know thats about a mile South of Detroit.I have watched the Red Wings play since the mid 1950s so I have seen a good many hockey games in that time. There are bad calls and poor officiating in all sports but in general every referee and linesman make every effort to be fair to both teams.Neither the league, the players nor the team owners would tolerate biased officials for very long, this goes for all sports. How long would fans continue to pay high ticket prices to see a game that was being won due to biased officiating.

Well, it looks like the lucky Red Wings won again with a little help from the referees! Yea right! Chuck/Bagman.

Well the Wings didn t need any help from the officials tonight,Pittsburg was flat after the first period and couldn t put any credible offence together. The Penguins are a much better team than the one we saw tonight,I think game two will be much closer, but man tonight the Wings beat them like a rented mule.

You showed your true colors and now the rest of us know to disregard anything you have to say about the cup finals.

Well, Pittsburgh has taken the position that if you can't beat them, hurt them with cheap shots! What a pathetic hockey team! Also, Red Wings lucked out again tonight, but then they have a habit of lucking out and winning! Lets Go Red Wings! Chuck/Bagman.

Has there ever been a Cup final where one team has been totally shut out for the whole series?
If not, this might be the first.
