Depending on the exact options on that truck, I'd say it's not at all a good deal. I built one at Ford's site for $36k. http://www88.forddirect.fordvehicles.com........usPage=ConfigTrimSelectFlash&statetoken=
I'd expect $10k off a new truck, let alone a used one that has 21,000 miles on it.
Maybe Texas isn't budging on truck prices like they are in California?

Checck on Ford web, 4500 cash back plus low interest on 2008 F250.
This is less than you are going to pay for a used one. Get a V10
with 410 rear and camper package. I have same 2WD XLT.

i looked at ford website i think you guys are right buy it new with the incentives that are out.. one thing for sure they are not selling these in groves. overall thats a better deal and less than a used one with no incetives and a few miles. I appreciate all the input. i will definetly do the v10 route over a diesel. i cant justify the cost of a diesel plus the maintenance that goes with it.

Go with the V10, it may actually get better MPG and certainly pull much better than the V8,

I have had both the 5.4 triton and now own a triton V10. If you have not already made your purchase I would definatley go with the V10. Running with the OD shut off was not ever an option with the 5.4 but if I am not fully loaded in the 5th wheel running in OD is possible depending on where I am at.

there is a brand new 08 SD F250 Crew 4x4 lariat with the 5.4 on the dealer lot here loaded with everything including rear camera, just not the 20in wheels and it is sticker for $44k, but i bet you can get it for under $34k. it says with emp pricing and incentives down to $36k, but i bet you can get the extra $2k out of them......i would offer them about $25k for the one with 21k miles

Price is way on high end. You should be able to special order new with the V-10 xlt, extended cab and towing package etc for less than they are asking. Ask to talk to the on line or fleet sales person at the dealership.
