Wife and I are meeting up with her brother and his family for a camping trip hopefully in Northern California. They have two girls, one pre-teen and one a new teenager.
Can anyone suggest a nice campground in Northern Coastal or Northern Central California? It would be nice if the girls could enjoy some activities appropriate for their age. Looking for full hook-ups, and need a larger spur length to fit my GMC extented cab 3500 SRW and Nash27T 30' tow trailer with slide. We will be camping in July or August. Any suggestions?

Redding, Red bluff, Lake Almanor, Sacramento Foothills, Redwood valley?
Northern CA is a large area, where are you looking to go, and where do 'they' live?

This place is pretty nice for families. They have a pool (two, actually), which you will need in July or August - lol

I'll second the '49er Trailer Village', but it depends on whether you are looking for Gold country, Coast, Tall mountains? What about Lake Tahoe?

Try the Mendocino Coast. Camp at MacKerricher State Park right on the ocean for miles North of Fort Bragg. Lots to do. Can rent bicycles in Fort Bragg and ride along the lovely coast to the campsite or take some of the inland trails. Go for it. You and your family won't be disappointed!

I haven't been here in years since I moved from No Cal (and I was tent camping then), but I loved McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park. The CG itself has the falls and that leads down to the river in the park to the lake where you can paddle boat. In the area is Lassen NP (volcanic) and a fish hatchery and if you want to travel back to the I-5 area, you can do other sightseeing. There is Lake Siskiyou up in the area, too, that has its own lake and CG and there is at least one alpine lake in the area.

If you like to fish, try Edgewater Resort on Clear Lake in Kelseyville.

The fellow asked for full hookups, so suggestions for CA state parks and Lassen NP won't work! Maybe if the OP provided more information on *where* in northern CA he wants to be and what kinds of activities are wanted, he'd get more relevant responses?
