Any seasonals out there from southeastern pa.? Our present campground, which, we love appears to be closing for this season for sewer, and enviormental reasons. We have a great spot which is about 40 x 65. Cannot find any campgrounds in the area that have big sites. Any suggestions?

What area are you looking, and what campground is closing?

presently northwest of Reading, but we are looking in the Lancaster area. We are trying to keep distance from home ( Phila) no more than 70 or so miles. Appalachian RV resort is where we have been for the past three years. So far, we have word that they are closing at least for this year.

I'm a seasonal at a campground in North eastern PA...BIG sites and everyone is very friendly. Don't know how far Stroudsburg, PA is from you, but if you want more info...let me know!

Stroudsburg is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from Appalachian Campground. You can try checking Pa camping.
It's a shame with Appalachian. We almost had our wedding there this coming August. Did they give you an update on if they might open this year?

It's about time they did something. There were always sewer problems there. Even then we liked the CG. Good luck finding another place. Most of the cg's we were at in the Lancaster area the stes were smaller. Check Hickory Run in Denver PA. or Spring Gulch cg

It would be nice if they would update their website, not everyone reads the local newspaper.

We feel like this is a nightmare! Our $2800. has been paid, brand new TT, just built 30' deck and we get a call saying we are going to close for the weekend for sewer repairs. Then fellow campers send me a copy of a newspaper article from reading stating epa found lead in soil, and municipality is forcing them to hook into public sewew for 2.5 mil., and now I call today and they say they are closed for this year and they don't know if we are getting our money back yet. Waiting for the corporation to let local management know. By the way the current corp. owners would appear to be LES, Encore, and RVonthe go. This is so unfair!

You could try Oak Creek in Bowmansville i don't think the sites will be as large but they are great people to work with. They are not owned by a large corp. which I thinks is best.

Morris Meadows is a little further south down I-83 just barely in MD. They have seasonals.
