YnotTurbo,

We were there last year with our Polaris Ranger & RZR. First of all, the KOA there is very nice. Clean, well equipped, they have gasoline, etc.

The H/M trails out of there (Indian Ridge?) are a little tame compared to some of the other H/M trails we've riden, but they are still pretty good. The best trails around there are the Wagon Wheel trails. In fact, they're the best trails I've ever been on. You can get there by driving down the road a bit (its legal there), or by taking a detour off the H/M trails (not sure if that's legal).

There's a little restaurant in 'downtown' Ashland that's attached to a little nick nack store.

Have fun! I think you'll like it there.

We go to West Virginia all the time and have stayed at the Ashland KOA several times. We love the area and there is tons of places to ride with the locals. Man, WV is another area with some good riding, which is the home of the Rockhouse trails, these H/M trails run south to Dilbert. We'll be staying at the KOA come this memorial day weekend. Enjoy the trip

You're going to the free state of McDowell! We plan on making the short drive there soon, just don't know when. If one were to venture out toward Welch, it would be worth a little extra time and go to Sterling Drive Inn for lunch.
