Wow Hookie, that is a fantastic deal!!!!! Good for you. Congrats!!!! Let me know how it tows.

Thanks all for the input. I just sold the Tahoe last night. I am heading to the dealer this weekend to see the Suburban. It's 200 miles away. I can't wait. If all goes well I will buy it. I have a 96 Accord as my run around car so the Burb will be just for towing.

Post pics if you get it!

Well, I did it. It is awesome!!! I drove my Honda from Ct to Pa and bought the 2500 Suburban. I then rented a car trailer and towed the Honda home. It worked out great! It towed great. I have heard people say "I didn't even know it was back there" but I have never experienced it until today. I know a car trailer with an accord is not that heavy but it was great and I got 11.3 MPG. I thought that was pretty good considering towing anything with the Tahoe I couldn't get better than 10mpg.

Thanks to all for your help. I know I have only driven it 250 miles but I love it. I can't wait to hook the TT up to it now.

Congrats! I'm glad it worked out so well for you. Give us an update after you tow your TT.

I agree GM made a big mstake dropping the 8.1. It will tow a house. Best thing out there next to a diesel and a lot cheaper right now.
