The closest I have come to this was when we were in Mexico 3 weeks ago we pulled into a site and the owners said we could have a better one if we wanted to move the next day when a caravan puled out ,we did

Were you in a private campground where the lots are owned and the owner decided to come in that day? I have never experienced this but I have heard of it happening.

I wouldn't move. Or i would get a complete refund, and move out of the CG.

And if the owner refused the refund??????

Don't really think he would. Bad press is a bad thing. And besides. We pretty well specify our stay. Befor we setup. The only CG that did do me wrong. Well, their closed now.

I made a reservation for a week and in the middle of it, I was asked to move since my spot was reserved for someone else. Why do campgrounds make reservations, then tell you someone else made a reservation for the spot you're in? If you choose to stay an extra night, you may have to move. Can someone explain why a CG has to make a person pack/up move a site or two over?

Have seen it happen at FrontierTown CG (Ocean CityMD). For those that stay a week I would verify that you will be at the same spot the whole visit. One poorcamper who came in late (no prior reservations)moved three times in two days

I could understand if when you checked in you were advised that their had been a mistake and the site only had xx days then you would need to move.

I would definitely have a problem if they let me check in and unpack and then come back and tell me that I needed to move.

Last summer at one of our fav. CC's, we knew we were asking for reservations late, and were informed we would have to move sites in the middle of our stay. So, having site 17 when we arrived, 3 days later, I packed up, hooked up, and moved to site 16 next door. Kind of a, huhhhhh? Yes, friends wanted side by side sites, which was no biggie to us, but to just inform us in the middle of a reserved stay, I don't think so. I would be looking at how much of a refund I could get so I could find another CC.

Ask Jerry Seinfeld what a "Reservation" means. Reservation Scene One of my favorite scenes because it holds so true.
