My flagpole came with a drive-on stand, but I can't use it on my coach because the mast will contact either the coach side wall or the slide. Instead, I lash the flag pole to the rear view mirror and spike the drive-on foot down to keep it from kicking out. It is a very strudy setup. I didn't buy the receiver mount because I figured I would seldom fly the flag at the rear of the coach.
At a recent rally I looked at a very neat flag pole mount on another coach. This guy mounted a 2" receiver on the driver's side just under the coach near the front wheel. He then used a flag pole receiver mount to hold the mast. It was very sturdy and simple. He also mounted a 12v outdoor light to illuminate the flag. He would use a 50 watt lamp when on shore power and a 20 watt bulb when dry camping. It looked great.

You would be surprised that they also do not know to fly Ole Glory on the Upper most Right pole when another flag is flown with her.

We orginally had this one a fiberglas extension pole connected to your receiver(extendable to 30' plus)-a little to flimsy.

Now have this aluminum one(not the tall one behind the track)it extends to 25' and is telescoping fitting into the receiver also. Very rigid and not cheap, also has a permanent support for mounting in the ground at home.

I like the 2" pole from Poles and Holders as it is MUCH thicker and rigid than the pole buddy and thinner pole. Check out the poles page and see for yourself as they have a picture of their pole vs. others. I like the hitch mount.
Anyone have these poles?
By the way...I have heard that NASCAR won't let you raise aluminum poles as there have been instances of electrocution with overhead lines.....only fiberglass poles are allowed...

Another vote for Poles and Holders here. I sure like ours. We use the ladder mount however.

I just finished ordering the nice Ladder mount and the 22' pole from them. You also get a free 3x5 US Flag with any pole order.
I really like that the poles are a heavy duty 2" thick.
There are lots of other positive posts on here about Polesandholders.com that made up my mind to order from them.
