If you buy a 30 amp rig, it is a 30 amp rig. You can only run 30 amps worth of items.

If you buy a 50 amp rig, it costs more, but you can use 50 amps PER SIDE, or 100 amps total (in theory).

So if you are unhappy with the 30 amps, buy another rig. Alternatively only use one of the big current draws at a time, that is what we do.

We have the water heater, AC, coffee maker, microwave, TV, DVD, Stereo, Fridge some lights and other appliances on our 30Amp. It all works fine. When we used all this on 15 Amp when they serviced the electric in the campground, the heat pump chugged until I turned off the water heater.

I feel if you payed for 30 Amp it should all work unless there is a problem with the electrical supply. Had that happen one time, but that was a campground problem.

IMO if you turn everything on with a 30 amp supply the VOLTAGE will drop way below the 110 VAC level. Note any voltage below 110 VAC is unsafe for many items in your rig. If you really wish to tempt fate, fine, but IMO get a voltmeter so you know just how badly you are tempting the RV Gods.

I went from a 30a rig, that had similar issues as posted here to a 50 amp rig. Quite honestly, its not all its cracked up to be. Outside of the fact the cords are much bigger, bulkier and significantly more expensive the bigger problem is its very difficult to find campgrounds with 50 amp sites. Many that do have them deem them "premium" sites and charge more but overall 30 amp is the norm. I end up using a 30 amp adapter and have still tripped breakers at the campsite pedistal.

Well I happen to have a 28RK Laredo and have not had a peep out of it running the electric hot water heater, frig, ac and microwave at the same time. Matter of fact we pay no asttention to power management unless the wife cranks the big bazooka hair drier. Alwys run the coffee pot also.

Space heater will not work with all that stuff either.

Have not paid any attention to voltage for decades.

It was the same on my last Fleetwood also.

They they messed something up on mine

We have the same unit and love it. The 30 amp is the standard thing in most rv's and thats the way it is. Had a problem last year when the ac was on. I do like to run all frig and WH on electric with using the camp grounds power as you are paying for it!!!! Camping in the northern states is not as hot as other parts of the country so ac is not always needed. As others have indicated, run another extention cord from the 120 v outlet from the supply box through the seal of one of your slids for toaster or hair dryers and this helps. I do this for electric heater in the rear bedroom. good luck.

Hi , When we had our Keystone Cougar it depended on the camp ground~~Some Campgrounds we had trouble running our Air , Fridge , hotwater heater along with the Coffee pot, toaster and T.V. all at once~~When this happened we would run the hot water heater on propane then we never had a problem~~~~Sandy

Sorry to say I had the same problem when I had a 27RLD Laredo. It also caused me to burn up my air conditioner. I have not had this problem since I got the new camper with 50amp service. Be sure and just run what you have to to prevent this problem.

When using the air I put both the water and fridge on propane, works fine.

I had the same problem with my Crossroads Cruiser.
The 30 amp main and 20 amp A/C were on the same double breaker and the main would pop from heat transfer when using other appliances.
I installed a spare 20 amp double breaker and moved the A/C to it.
No more problems.
